A U S Air Force group of about 30 B52 bombers attacked a guerrilla held rubber plantation and jungle stronghold. Ground forces swept the area 20 miles north northwest of Saigon, with a second sweep 15 miles south of Quang Ngai city. Four helicopter crewmen were injured in a crash. 30 U S Army nurses arrived to set up a field hospital at Qui Nhon.
