Lawrence County commissioners opened bids to renovate the Ellwood City courthouse facade at 607 Lawrence Ave for District Judge Jerry G. Cartwright. C.W. Smith Contracting of Beaver Falls bid $69,000, Adolph Johnson and Sons of Mineral Ridge $103,150. Architect Daniel R. Frants will supervise the project and space study for the county adult probation offices at a cost under $3,890.
