East Side man jailed after assault and vandalism
Amos Wilson, 38, of 914 Beckford St, was arrested by New Castle police after an argument at Oak Leaf Gardens escalated to backhanding a woman inside a car, stomping her, and driving at her in the parking lot. He allegedly damaged a car, kicked open a door, and stomped on another vehicle’s hood and windshield. The woman was taken to Jameson Hospital for treatment. Wilson faces multiple counts including aggravated assault, criminal mischief, trespass, simple assault, and harassment. He was arraigned and held on $20,000 bond.
