Man Cleared of Indecent Assault After Juror Replacements
In Lawrence County, 43 year old Anthony D Spragling was acquitted of indecent assault on a child after two jurors were replaced by alternates. A nine woman three man jury found him not guilty after a four day trial in Judge J Coxs courtroom. The judge dismissed a male juror for inappropriate remarks toward a female juror and excused the juror who heard the exchange. Public Defender Larry Keith said the ruling was a safeguard. Prosecutor Jonathan Miller led the case. District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa commented on the absence of physical evidence and the jurors’ ultimate decision.

Ellwood City Man Charged In Porch Collision
An Ellwood City man faces multiple charges after his Mercury Grand Marquis crashed into a front porch on Spring Avenue around 12 10 a.m. Sept 22. Witnesses saw him flee, and police found the car embedded in the home. No injuries reported. He allegedly left the scene, fled to a church lot, and later did not show at the police station. He is charged with two counts of accidents involving damage to attended vehicle, two counts of recklessly endangering another person, one count of required financial responsibility, and one count of operating without valid inspection. He will receive a summons to appear in court.
