Out of cast woman knocked down again on Falls Street
Helen Rodenbaugh of Mill Street reports someone knocked her down on Falls Street near Cochran Way after having a cast removed at St Francis Hospital. Her purse was snatched, containing change, credit cards, a checkbook and house key. She was taken to St Francis with a possible new left ankle injury.

Mother recalls son’s death at Ridge View Home
Bernadine Novak of Sharpsburg Pennsylvania described the loss of her 15 year old son Louis as the hardest thing in her life. Louis died two months after being placed in a home for retarded children near the northeastern Pennsylvania community. Wayne County Coroner Robert Jennings ruled Louis’s death a murder and said several persons held his head under water during a forced bath. The coroner launched an inquiry into six other suspicious deaths at Ridge View and state police uncovered 15 more suspect deaths at a Scranton school operated by former Ridge View operator John A. Reilly. Jennings said the investigation is far from over, with possible charges to follow.

Thanksgiving toll climbs as holiday traffic deaths rise

Suspect arrested in fatal Natrona Heights stabbing
Allegheny County detectives and Pittsburgh police raided a Belizhoover home early today and arrested Harry Price in connection with the fatal stabbing of John L. Beck, 25, of Natrona Heights. Body of 13-year-old found after forest search
Kenneth Phillips Jr. of Osceola Mills was missing since Thursday while hunting with his father near Gintner, Clearfield County. State police and hundreds of volunteers searched all night until his body was found Friday afternoon in a mountainous wooded area. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
