Hickory to secure funding for new sewer project
Lawrence Hickory Municipal Authority announced a multi-source funding package for a Hickory Township sanitary sewer line. The Farmers Home Administration offers a loan grant combination totaling about 1.012 million dollars, with a 5 percent loan over 40 years. EPA and ARC grants totaling about 2.288 million dollars are expected, offsetting a 3.5 million dollar project cost. Local funds around 200 thousand are also planned, bids to be sought in early 1979.
