Parking Authority Puts Candy Cane Tickets in Holiday Tie In
The New Castle Parking Authority will attach miniature candy canes to every parking ticket this season. Executive director Don Pallerino said the plan may start by Saturday when Troutman’s Super Santa Celebration Parade opens the holidays. The board also discussed a $2 late fee starting January 10 and potential rate increases for Arcon and Mill Street lots. The authority plans tamper proof meters for 400 downtown meters. Vice Chairman James Million chaired the meeting in Chairman Rainey’s absence.
