Marcus Daly died in New York after a long illness at the Hotel Netherland. Born in 1842 in Ireland, he rose as a miner who moved west to Montana. P A Mayne of Croton avenue received word this morning of the death of his brother James Mayne of Mercer county. He died this morning at 45 o clock from a complication of diseases. He was about sixty, a devout member of the Reformed Presbyterian church. He leaves a wife and four children, one brother P F Mayne of this city, and four sisters Mrs J H McCune, Mrs S B Smith of this city, Mrs H H Mel Murray and Mrs Martha Kerr of Pittsburg. The funeral will be Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
