Soldiers trap Viet Cong in Mekong Delta village raid
About 2,000 American troops surrounded a Cai Lay area village in the Mekong Delta. They netted 153 suspected Viet Cong, to be questioned and released if not proven Communist. Five swift boats damaged or destroyed 143 warehouses, 141 boats, and 23 bunkers. A Marine A4 Skyhawk was shot down.
