Two motorists cited for motor violations in city
Two individuals were cited yesterday by city police for motor violations. Jacqueline E. Hays, 21, of New Brighton, was cited for driving too fast for conditions, failure to carry a registration card, and not wearing corrective lenses. Robert Michael Passifume, 20, of 602 Rt Pearson St, was cited for reckless driving and driving without a license after being spotted at 8 40 p m running a stop sign.

Police report two car thefts yesterday. Randall Shaffer of 3303 Ellwood Rd said a raincoat worth 35 dollars and toiletries worth 7 dollars were taken from his vehicle at the Traveler's Inn Lot around 9 a.m. John Merolillo of 732 Chestnut St reported a camera valued 19 dollars and 90 dollars cash stolen from his glove compartment in a lot on S. Mill St between 6 and 7 p.m. Entry was gained by breaking the right vent window and prying the glove compartment lock.

Police narcotics unit chief warns clinic programs raise addicts
Lt. Anthony Bender a 28 year Philadelphia Police Narcotics Squad veteran told a suburban PTA that hospital outpatient clinics for drug users are increasing addicts in the city. He cited U S figures showing nationwide growth and said Philadelphia cases have doubled from 600 700 a year before 1966 to as high as 2000 since clinics began. He urged inpatient treatment and cut off of drug supply as the only cure.
