Mishap Injures Woman In Wilmington Auto Crash
Miss Chevyl McCreary, 20, of 1910 Delaware Ave, is in good condition at St Francis Hospital after a truck rear ended her auto at 3 am on Wilmington Ave near Moody Ave. She sprained her back and the vehicle suffered extensive damage. Delmar Stump of Mechennesburg, Pa, drove the truck. No injuries in a second truck crash on South Street involving Jack Bathhouse, 97, and a Sullivan Acerone, 34. Moderate damages to both vehicles.

Man Accused Of Murder Will Get Medical Exam
Michael Costello 99 remains under observation at St Francis Hospital psychiatric ward after allegedly beating Lloyd Guilich 92 to death with a cane in the Lots Home for the Aged. Dist Ally Kenneth Fox Jr said Costello will be examined Monday by Dr Frank Geer to assess responsibility. Guilich died from shock at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Coroner John Meehan Jr attributed the death. Costello, who will turn 60 in December, was charged with murder after police arrested him at the home. Attorney Joseph Solomon said he awaits Dr Geer’s exam results. William Lotz said Costello sat on his bed holding the cane after Guilich’s screams. Walter Ango, who slept nearby, was unaware of the event. Mrs Lotz said the men were close friends and had requested the same room.
