Former MLB pitcher Brad Halsey dies in climbing accident
Former major league pitcher Brad Halsey, 33, died in a recreational climbing accident in Texas Hill Country near Comal County. Halsey played 14-19 over 88 games for the Yankees, Diamondbacks and Athletics from 2004 to 2006 and last pitched in the Yankees system in 2011. He surrendered Barry Bonds 714th homer in 2006, tying Babe Ruth for second on the all-time list.
