Voter turnout seen at 60 to 65 percent in Lawrence County

Voter turnout is expected at 60 to 65 percent of Lawrence County’s 50,429 registered voters for tomorrow’s general election. Polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. All state offices and liquor stores close. The Flaherty vs Burgh race tops local interest, followed by the 25th District congressional contest involving Atkinson, Shaffer, Cook, and Morris. Beaver County could decide the outcome, as Atkinson carried it in 1976. Other races include state House districts 9 and 10, with Conti challenging Fee and Lockley opposing Pratt. Referendums seek two additional supervisors in Mahoning and Pulaski townships.

Man Found Dead From Carbon Monoxide In Car At Tire Plant
