Edward J. Perry former Greensburg mayor shot three of his children wounding Elizabeth four who died two hours later before turning the gun on himself. The attack occurred as the children knelt beside their baby sister Margaret. Richard eight and Kenneth six were wounded but not seriously. Perry earlier read a letter then retrieved a revolver from a cupboard before ascending. His wife had died over a year earlier. Perry had served as Greensburg mayor 1908 to 1906 and led the state firemen association. The motive remains unknown.

Knobloch siblings injured when buggy struck by streetcar
