House approves balanced budget plan and debt ceiling hike
The House backed its Democratic balanced budget proposal by a 249-180 vote with two defections, aiming to shield poverty programs from cuts. State Rep. Ralph D. Pratt and William R. Ralph battle for a 10 year Lawrence County Court of Common Pleas seat. Through Oct. 21 Pratt spent $21,968.51 while Ralph used $8,646.82.
