He crawled under cars through the Reiber street tunnel and reached the far side just as the train neared. His quick action saved his life though he lost part of his right foot. Doctors Zerner and Perry attended him and he was sent to Shenango Valley hospital. The Russian worker is about 35 years old.
Harry Colwell and George Weiss, both from prominent Pittsburg families, will be tried Tuesday in Youngstown on charges of perjury for allegedly lying about their ages to obtain marriage licenses.

Russell Forbes of New Wilmington was accidentally shot during Halloween celebrations near Battle Row school house. William Bell fired a shotgun after a signal from the group. Forbes was struck by shot but not hit in a vital area. He was taken home and treated by a physician. no blame attached to Bell.
John Bates of 4 Wampum and Grace Buchanan of Grove City obtained marriage licenses in Grove City as listed in the public notices.

James T Sample, 88, a survivor of the Mexican war and former resident, died October 18 at his Bournemouth home. Born July 12, 1821 in Pittsburgh, he fought under General Winfield Scott, losing a leg at Chapultepec. He leaves a son and daughter in England, three brothers, and ties to this city through the Sample family.
Eugene A Byrne of West Point died from injuries in the West Point Harvard game after instant artificial respiration preserved him to Sunday. The season has seen multiple fatalities and injuries across Army Navy Harvard and other schools prompting talk of not playing next year.
A Sunday afternoon fire swept three Pulaski township farms likely started by boys smoking a rabbit from a hollow log. The blaze destroyed fences an old log house and a corncrib though no major structures, with damage estimated in the hundreds of dollars. Steubenville Ohio, Oct 30. Four detectives fired into a crowd of strikers returning from church while escorting six strikebreakers from the Hotel Lacy to the LaBelle Ironworks plant, wounding four including Ed Henricks and Frank Gaffney. More than 50 shots were fired. arrests expected.

Only about a dozen members remain due to celibacy rules causing no marriages or adoptions. The Ohio settlement valued at one million dollars will be sold and occupants move to Mt Lebanon New York.
In Youngstown Judge George F. Robinson will resume graft trials Wednesday with the cases of John V. Waldeck and A. H. Ready. Indictments accuse them of paying $300 and $100 to release Price and Brunstetter from roads contracts. Price and Brunstetter pleaded guilty and may testify. Milligan's six indictments also set for Wednesday but may extend into the week.
