Commencement Held Thursday At Bessemer
The Bessemar high school graduating class of 1958 had 42 members receive diplomas Thursday in a commencement at the high school. Prof George C Reese of Thiel College urged loyalty vocation and intent as keys to the future, and valedictorian Phyllis Genhato spoke on education as preparation for the future. The high school band played Pomp and Circumstance, and Rev Fr Joseph A Mastangelo delivered the invocation.

Dress Vielor FP Tharmas supervising principal presented the vnes for te revolving of diplomad after diplomas were awarded. Each girl got a dozen yellow roses and each boy a yellow boutonniere. A congratulatory period followed as Class of 1950 members read names including Hazel Andrushchenko Thressa Augustine Joan Benedict Joe Capdello ve Capan and many others.

Cascade Gets Train Service at Cascade Park Opening
Riddles visiting Cascade Park on opening day May 40 will debut a diesel patterned ride after a FP General Motors design. The train holds 48 passengers in four cars, each with air brakes, running from a 150 foot circular station through a 60 foot tunnel and over an 8 foot bridge.
