Not Guilty Plea by Former Equitable Comptroller Jordan
Thomas D. Jordan former comptroller of the Equitable Life Assurance society pleaded not guilty to nineteen indictments returned by the grand jury. Eighteen counts accuse forgery in the third degree one count perjury bail set at ten thousand dollars on one indictment and Jordan remained in custody under parole with his counsel on the rest. The court granted permission to examine grand jury minutes and allowed him to withdraw the plea or substitute another before the first Monday in October.
