Split loot from million dollar grocery store heist tied to murder
In Indianapolis prosecutors bind over Manuel Lee Robinson and tie him to a multimillion dollar robbery murder of V W Jackson. Angela Young and John Williams testified that Robinson Willard Pollitt and others carried bases suitcases and bags of money to Youngs apartment and divided the loot. Police later found over 1 million at the apartment and more than 5 million in the widow Jacksons home. Federal agents recovered 142,852 from a mobile home tied to suspects. Total recovered exceeds 1.8 billion in combined loot and jewelry.

Petrillo jury weighs perjury trial in Farrell mayor case
Pittsburgh UPI report says Francis N. Petrillo mayor of Farrell is in the hands of a U.S. District Court jury after about eight hours of deliberation. The trial before Judge Maurice B. Cahill began last Friday with A US Attorney alleging extortion of 5000 from Leah Brothers Excavating Co and 2500 from Garfac Inc for zoning and city contracts. Petrillo testified denying extortion and claiming a $1000 gift from a Leal brother friend, and denying that he testified before a federal grand jury last summer.

Bell rate hike justified for home phone service
Pittsburgh AP says Pennsylvania rate supervisor William J Wobthagen told a Public Utility Commission hearing on Bell of Pennsylvania's 139 million rate request that higher charges for coin box calls directory assistance and other services are needed to keep low cost home telephones.
