Commandos Kelly will showcase infantry weapons at a free public display on the library grounds at North and Mercer streets from noon to 6 pm Friday. He is famed for killing 40 Germans in Italy and receiving the Medal of Honor.

New York port officials estimate that more than two million men sent to Europe will begin returning at about 250 000 monthly. The peak is expected in August with 16 000 to 20 000 wounded monthly included.

It would raise payroll taxes to 8 percent total, move unemployment and disability insurance to the federal level, and fund a 10 year program of federal grants for hospital construction and health services.

Reuters dispatch from London reports Gestapo Chief Heinrich Himmler killed himself at British Second Army headquarters at 11 04 p m last night official announcement says he committed suicide at the site in May 1945 with the British forces in control.

Eight fewer were summoned due to a new ruling exempting men aged 30 to 37 from service for the present. Farewell rites were held at the station by the Lawrence County Service Men's Air group and the men received kits from the organization’s ladies.
