City Job Tax Deadlines and Refunds Announced

The city sets June 15 as the due date for the $10 occupational privilege tax for employers and self employed persons with quarterly deadlines of June 15 September 15 and November 15. Revenue is expected around $160000. Employers should mail collections to city hall. self employed persons follow the same process. A $10 refund is available to those earning less than $1000 in the year with proof to the occupation tax office.

April Cost of Living Hits Record High as Inflation Persists

The cost of living rose four tenths of a percent in April, the worst January–April inflation since 1951. Officials weighed an anti inflation tax hike while awaiting employment data expected in 10 days.
