Conneaut detectives propose Mrs. Catherine Jones Ott of Erie shot lover Robert D. Johnson in Farrell and then killed herself. They doubt a double murder and say Johnson's affection may have cooled, with burial plans to Erie and Farrell today.
Police officer Adam Holzschen killed an unidentified bandit during a daytime robbery in Elmhurst and captured accomplice Herman Manstert a printer. The shooting followed a running board ambush near a police booth, marking the second bandit killed in New York this week after a cigar store holdup.
