A large class was confirmed in a beautiful service led by Mr. and Mrs. Feutchwanger in the Odd Fellows hall. Rabbis and cantors presented prayers, readings, and solos with a program including Coronation March, Serenade by Gounod, and a Widdush Ha-Shent. The ceremony featured a passing of flowers, musical interludes, and a Benediction, ending with a recessional Coronation March.
A corps of Methodist ministers filled New Castle pulpits Sunday to boost a campaign for retired pastors. Local supporters aimed at 400000, and yesterday's subscriptions topped 11000. Speakers included Dr We Muncray and Bishop Franklin Hamilton, preaching in several churches.

Four workmen killed instantly and seven others injured when a turbo generator exploded at the Republic Iron and Steel plant near Youngstown Ohio. The blast hurled iron and steel pieces into the air, with officials stating the cause is not yet determined and damages exceeding $100000. Dozens of workers were nearby as rescue teams treated the injured at the plant hospital.
Apollub members offer to sing at a Red Cross benefit concert this evening at the Parst Christian church in New Castle. Pelward Kurla directs with Miss Hila May Griner as soloist.
