London reports a reshaped government to be formed on a broader personal and political basis. Premier Asquith announced in the house of commons that the new coalition ministry aims to resolve dissension with Churchill and Fisher. Redmond is in Ireland and not yet consulted on cabinet changes.
Attorney J W Cunningham of Beaver Valley Lime company notified David Jameson chairman of the Good Roads Day Association that the firm will donate 100 tons of crushed limestone for highways on Good Roads Day and will load wagons. Distribution will occur under Ellwood City jurisdiction with a Wayne township plant location between Ellwood City and Wampum.

In Harrisburg on May 19 the workmen's compensation bills cleared the senate with minor amendments. As the 1915 Pennsylvania session neared its end a civil service bill for police, firemen, electrical and engineering department employees in third class cities was defeated in the state house. New Castle officials led the drive, fighting through passage in both houses and a gubernatorial action before a last minute reversal. Representative W D Walton and Representative Wilson fought hard, but the measure failed.

A reporter said New Castle would not be represented at the United Presbyterian general assembly in Loveland Colorado next week. In fact D. G. Duff of West Washington Street will go as a representative of the Second United Presbyterian Congregation of New Castle.

Chicago carpenters and contractors remain at an impasse as 16 000 union men refuse a 2 1 2 cent raise. In a referendum four locals of nearly 5 000 voted against the offer, the union pushing from 65 to 70 cents while the contractors say no further concessions will be made.
H W Claybaugh Franklin engineer in charge of state highway work in Lawrence county and surrounding areas will travel to New Castle tomorrow to confer with Thomas J McCullough highway superintendent for the district about Lawrence county projects on good roads day. They will meet at David Jameson Citizens National Bank office with committee members expected to attend and present suggestions.
Incomplete returns show a small majority supported the municipal home rule amendment for liquor traffic control, while the single tax amendment was decisively defeated. Mrs. Hugh Ward of Akron, Ohio, arrived in Denver to visit relatives and friends. She plans to referee Akron games in about two weeks.

Information will be filed this afternoon against a Croton man accused of stealing milk bottles from homes on Cunningham avenue during his early morning walk home. Milk thefts have occurred for several days and the suspect was observed this morning. an alderman will hear the case for arrest.
