Beverly Hills May 17 A dinner priced at 100 a plate sold out with no speeches allowed. The host Will sent letters saying everyone in the hall received 100. Jack Dempsey reportedly offered to fight Tunney in September if offered sufficient money.

Mrs Louise Palmer, described as E W Stenwells paramour, held on murder charge after shooting in Coral Gables. Stenwell, once a police official hero, died in hospital from a bullet wound said to be inflicted by Palmer as she said she found him threatening her in her home. Palmer wore a bathing suit at arrest. The final chapter in the stormy romance of Maria Montero, a 27 year old Spanish dancer and singer, and Horatio Columbres, an Argentine physician, ends with Columbres mortally wounding Maria and then attempting suicide. He shot himself through the temple after killing her last evening at Reception Hospital in New York. The lover had previously been rejected and the couple’s tumultuous relationship led to tragedy.
The mem e Associated Credit Bureaus of Pennsylvania will hold its next convention in Reading, Pennsylvania on September 14 and 15, 1923. Ray F. Hall, manager of the New Castle Credit Exchange, announced the event after the final session in New Castle. He thanked the PR and System orchestra, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad local offices, and others who assisted in making the convention a success.
Mr Laure Elder aged 34 of Warren and C Harry Ross aged 38 of 11K North Ail treet and 828 East Washington street are listed in a local death record. The notice provides ages and addresses for the two individuals.
Mrs J Milsom of 1303 Wilmington Avenue and her sister Mrs James E Richards were seriously hurt when their car skidded on a highway between Baden and Ambridge and plunged down a 10 foot embankment. Mrs Milsom suffered a severe scalp wound and back and shoulder injuries. Mrs Richards endured facial and head cuts and missing teeth with back and shoulder bruising. Mrs Milsom's daughter Mrs Cella Broad and a baby traveled with them. Broad was mildly hurt. The party reached New Castle by Ambridge ambulance. Mrs Milsom was hospitalized in stable condition. others released to home.
Oil City High School Orchestra will perform at the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite reunion in the Scottish Rite Cathedral. John T. Thomas will sing at the reception Friday. A registry lists guests from Western Pennsylvania and parts of the East, with many more expected as the event continues.
International News Service reports in Waukegan Illinois on May 17 that three bandits seeking hidden wealth killed William Beck Jr. 36 and severely beat his mother Anna Beck 75. They bound the mother, escaped with 3500 in bonds, jewelry of undetermined value, and about 100 dollars in cash. William Beck Sr. 38, bedbound, was first to discover the murder and robbery after no one answered in the home. Mrs Beck is in serious condition.

He is suspended permanently. Five other bishops reaching age limit were retired: Luther B. Wilson of New York Joseph F Berry of Philadelphia Wilbur Thirfield of Chattanooga Wiltons Oldham of South America and Francis W Warne of Bangalore India. Wilson travels to Kansas City then New York.
