Neshannock Board hires four teachers and staff

Neshannock School Board last night hired four teachers and accepted resignations from four others. New elementary teachers are Kathleen McClelland, a Jung graduate of Thiel College, Barbara Nicholson, who teaches in Mt. Lebanon schools, and Sandra Morris, a June college graduate. Diane Shaw, presently with West Middlesex Schools, will teach at the high school. Resignations included Harry Moberg Alma Exley Joan Wertz and Ralph Solida. A combined transportation supervisor and bus mechanic was hired at a salary not to exceed 6000 dollars. The board adopted a 1965 66 budget of 1138501 with a four mill real estate tax increase to 47 mills. It opened three bids for buses and referred them to committee. a contract for two buses will be awarded at a special meeting. It reelected William S Emsey as treasurer and Florence Cripps as board secretary, appointed J Fred Rentz to the PSBA Legislative Council, awarded about 4001 in athletic equipment contracts, and authorized bids for lawn mowing equipment. Legion to meet Col Charles Young Post 524 will hold a special meeting at 6 p m to Anorroy.

Burglary at J. M. Genkinger & Co. Seizes gun

A pistol and a wrist watch were stolen in a burglary at J. M. Genkinger & Co., 29.5 Mercer St, earlier Thursday night or Friday morning. Police said entry was through a rear window. An attempt at Investor's Diversified Service, 108 S. Mercer Jt., was reported at 2:30 a.m. yesterday. entry was not gained.

Wilmington High School lunch menu next week details

Truck Driver Training Class Opens June First

Speed limits set by Neshannock Township officials

Neshannock Township supervisors last night set traffic limits on two roads. A 15 mph limit will be posted in Pearson Park, requested by the park commission. A 98 mph limit was approved on Clover Lane at the request of nearby property owners. A girl, Marclyn Macek, 4, of Bil Franklin Ave., was treated at Jameson Memorial Hospital for a dog bite on the left cheek yesterday evening.
