Lawrence County Cooperative Wool Growers Inc sold the 1962 clip to Nichols and Co Boston last night at prices above last year. The Boston firm bid .5791 cents per pound for the 3844 blood wool, about three quarters of the local 100000 pound crop. Members from Butler Beaver and Lawrence counties will pool wool in Butler June 4 and in New Castle June 5 and 6 at Baltimore and Ohio railroad sidings. R P Peebles is president.

Fines Income Tax Evasion Trial Continues
LEWISBURG Pa UPI The income tax evasion trial of former Republican Gov John F Fine entered its sixth day with more government witnesses. Fine and co defendant Donald P Morgan are accused of evading payment of 45 000 in taxes for 1955 1956 and 1957. Witnesses said Fine s mining company paid for a tractor and accessories for the former governor s farm. A bill for 927.05 was sent to Newport Excavating in which Fine is part owner. Witnesses also testified to a 700 dam build and two 900 checks for work. The Newport firm allegedly paid for an irrigation system costing 2 682. The government says Fine should have declared the irrigation cost as income.
