New Castle Transit Authority Recovers Ridership Slowly
New Castle Area Transit Authority faced pandemic impacts with ridership dropping to about 50 percent of pre pandemic levels at the start. National ridership fell 79 percent from 2019 and costs rose for PPE training and labor. Authority GM David Richards cited a rebound to about 75 percent of pre pandemic ridership in the last two months and projected 2021 22 revenues of 481 400, up from 658 000 last June.
