April Fire Alarm Report Shows Fatality and Grass Fires
City firemen answered 81 alarms in April with 62 fires reported. One person was fatally injured and three others injured. Grass fires accounted for 38 alarms. Total April loss estimated at 8,435 dollars, with 879,780 dollars of property threatened. For January to April, total property loss reached 44,245 dollars.
Picnic reunion planned for Lower Neshannock residents

Driver Treated After Two-Car Crash in Neshannock Township

Fire razes Stable at Garden State Track in Cherry Hill
A flash fire swept through Stable B at Garden State Park in Cherry Hill New Jersey early today destroying the oldest stable and killing six horses all from Stable B. Four people two firemen and two track workers sustained minor injuries while 60 horses were evacuated. One dead horse named Old Woman had won a 7500 claiming race Monday. Injured workers Samuel Kirk 58 and Theodore Craig assisted in evacuations.

Larry Zurasky offered a counter motion to have one man and one woman at the high school. Supervising Principal Anthony Venturella said two teachers could not be eliminated without restricting activities. Venturella said an executive session was held with teachers regarding salaries and a proposal including a salary increase will be voted on today.
