Two arrested in beating of local man John Italin
Police arrested two youths in the assault case against 24 year old John Italin of 325 Halco Drive. Robert Reed, 18, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and unlawful entry, later released on 1000 dollar bond. A 17 year old was referred to the city juvenile officer. Arrests were by Capt George Kennedy and others as the victim was dragged from his home on Grant Street after an ambush. Police seek a third suspect and note several others participated but did not enter the residence.
