Crated Colombian Marijuana Seized At Senate Hearing
A crate containing 240 pounds of high quality Colombian marijuana was seized in New York and presented at Capitol Hill during a Senate internal security subcommittee hearing on marijuana dangers. Federal agents said the bricks were worth about 100 dollars an ounce, far above typical prices. The total value of the seizure was about 32 thousand dollars, part of a larger 800 pound cache valued at 1.5 million dollars.
