Reports say Napoleon Bonaparte will resign from his cabinet position soon with a date set for early departure. The move comes amid cabinet reshuffles and political pressure within the administration.
Washington May 7 high source says Attorney General Bonaparte is contemplating retirement due to ill health and stress from trust investigations. He reportedly spends less time at the Department of Justice, may soon review cases more thoroughly, and yesterday attended a cabinet meeting after arriving from Baltimore.
Differences over the partition of the late Attorney D B Kurtz estate were argued before Judge Porter Tuesday morning. Emily Kurtz represented by Col O L Jackson and J Norman Martin contends the heirs dispute the petition. E T Kurtz representing the executrix filed the initial partition petition and Emily later challenged its scope claiming undescription of all property. The court must decide which petition governs the partition.
Mayor Hainer indefinitely continued the case against Steve Harris and his son Arthur charged with felonious assault with intent to kill. Buchar Serban, shot by the Harrises, remains hospitalized delaying the hearing. Harris and his son were released on bail.
After a brief shutdown due to a break in an engine, the steel mill restarted operations this afternoon at four o clock. A repair gang had worked since the break to have the engine ready, and by ten this morning managers decided to commence at four o clock.
John William Costello infant son of Mr and Mrs William Costello of No 4 Clearview avenue died at noon Monday from convulsions aged 3 months 2 days The funeral is set for Wednesday at 8 am with interment at St Josephs Cemetery
Four killed and eight injured in a fog caused collision on the Baltimore and Ohio line near Rosbys Rock, Wheeling. The New York and Chicago express struck a freight, both engines wrecked and all passenger cars overturned. A relief train with physicians was sent from Wheeling.

An attempted burglary at the L. C. Grassel and Harry Bell store on North Liberty Street Mahoningtown was thwarted last night when Harry Evans heard intruders at a rear window and scared the burglars off.

Mrs. David D. Johns and four children of East Long Avenue depart tonight for New York City and sail Thursday to London. They plan a Europe tour and Mrs. Johns will attend the Wales national eisteddfod in August. She will seek advanced music instruction. Mrs. D W Reese and daughter Anna and Mrs. John Lewis and son also depart for Wales to visit relatives.

Frederick Brown son of Mr and Mrs O H P Brown of North Mercer Street suffered a serious accident Monday night after swallowing a silver half-dollar while juggling coins. The coin lodged in his esophagus and required throat surgery. He improved after the operation but remained in danger.
