Operation Pulaski disaster drill shows progress with some faults
Civil Defense units from County and City Fire, Police, Red Cross and other services conducted a controlled disaster drill in Pulaski after a mock train attack. Officials cited a few planning gaps in victim movement and first aid location but called the exercise largely successful. Thirty three Boy Scouts acted as victims, highlighting issues in triage and arrival of ambulances and rescue trucks. Greensburg Man Killed In Plunge
Greensburg resident John J. Wilhelm 55 died after his car sideswiped a truck on Route 22 near Delmont and plunged over a 50 foot embankment through a guard rail. Coroner Stephen Yoney said death came from a skull fracture and shock. The truck driver Maynard Goss was unhurt.
