Fire kills three children at Lockbourne Air Force Base
At Lockbourne Air Force Base near Columbus a home fire claimed the lives of Maj Kelson B O Beirne's children Donald nine Barry five and Bruce four two to three other children were reported dead early today. Fire Chief Larry Donavan said the blaze started about 3 45 a m and caused about 10 000 in damage. Asphyxiation was cited as the likely cause with evidence of a cigarette burn on a sofa. The parents were hospitalized in shock.
