Workmen noticed the barrel showing amid dirt and mud, and as it was lifted the cask opened to reveal the corpse wearing only a hat. Police opened a murder inquiry as investigators search for clues.
The Beaver Valley Traction Company will abandon street car service between Ambridge and Rochester and establish bus service between Sewickley and Ambridge via Rochester. The Public Service Commission approved the change due to continued operating losses, with the bus service to be operated by an official of the Traction Company.
