The case of Mrs Esther McMahon versus Mrs M Belle Emery for $25000 damages for alienation of affections continued in county court this morning. The defense claimed several points in testimony. The Hendrix denial about naming Mrs Emery will appear on Page 8.

A marital mediation at Isreal Seigel's office in Park Row ends with Roy Schuster killing his wife Amy Schuster and wounding the attorney. Schuster fled after five shots rang out. Seigel was taken to Bellevue in critical condition. The couple had a pending divorce and temporary alimony of 40 dollars a week.

In Lima Ohio two men Samuel Nelson and John Powell, both confined at Lima State hospital for the criminal insane after robbery convictions, were blamed for the strangling of guard Louis Kiehl in a hospital lavatory. Nelson fled but was captured eight miles from the hospital. Powell was captured while attempting to flee through a window. Overcrowding at the ward housing 40 inmates for a 35 capacity was cited by superintendent Dr. W H Vorbau as a factor.
The Ellwood City high school student Donald Cloak earned second place in the Pennsylvania high school statewide trombone solo contest, a change from an initial first place declaration. The solo was My Song of Songs by Clay Smith, with only two points separating first and second.
Mrs Elsie Taylor Johnston 66 of R D 5 Centralia Washington died. Robert A Goslee of Centralia is listed as related party.
