United Press reports May 1 that W. D. Mahon of Detroit, international president of the Amalgamated Association of Street and Electric Railway Employees of America, may come to Cleveland to mediate between motormen and conductors and the Threefer. DuPont argues the municipal traction contract supersedes the Con Con contract, which the union seeks, granting a $0.02 hourly raise after franchise renewal and free transportation for all employees.
