London March 28 Vic Oliver stage and screen star was granted a decree nisi of divorce from Sarah Millicent Spencer Oliver daughter of the prime minister on grounds of question. The suit was not defended and was before Justice Henn Collins with proof of marriage. the marriage occurred December 24 1936 in New York.
Washington reporters predicted Argentina would rejoin the Pan American family and receive an invitation to the San Francisco conference next month. The move followed Argentina declaring war on the Axis and affirming solidarity with the 20 other American republics.
Washington dispatch reports a widening split between Adolf Hitler and senior Nazi generals as Allied forces advance through western Germany. London March 2 Commander Robert Brabner RN undersecretary of state for air is reported missing after an air trip to Canada. Prime Minister Churchill announced this in the House of Commons.
