Pipeline to Thompson's Run links Texas oil to East Coast markets
Texas Oil company completes pipeline to Thompson's Run near the Pennsylvania line. 36 to 40 cars of oil daily move from that station while construction continues eastward toward Philadelphia. The system cuts freight costs and aims to deliver southwest oil to eastern markets cheaper than Texas rail shipments. Pumping stations dot the route, and further expansions will relocate shipping points as the line extends.
