House clears 4.55 minimum wage compromise

The House rejected Bush’s 4.25 plan and approved a 4.55 wage bill with a 60 day training wage. After initial 218-198 vote, a 240-179 acceptance moved the measure forward toward Senate debate, conference talks, and a potential veto battle.
