Reed Named Chairman and Technical Director Hired

The Lawrence Regional Planning Commission elected Harry F. Reed as chairman and Heinz Fenichel as technical director. Reed, VP at Bessemer Limestone and Cement, represents Lawrence County. City petitions PUC to shift viaduct duties to Highway Dept

Two long term convicts Robert Rivera and Raymond Farra, both 25, seized more than 70 hostages at Tennessee State Prison in a bid for freedom.
