Auditor General At Buntaid names Noe Mary Ann Nobers of New Castle as director of the Burens of School Avails with a salary of 25448 dollars. Nobers is a graduate of Muse University and attended St Louis University and the University of Pitt. She heads audits of 54 school districts and four vocational technical schools. The Public Unity Commission authorizes toll free service from New Bedford and New Wilmington to New Castle beginning April 16. The move aims to reduce toll calls and raise monthly bills by amounts for various service levels.

Judge refuses to merge rape case indictments in county

Court rejects budget loaks in Harrisburg ruling

Commonwealth Court ruled that the public has no right to inspect departmental reports used to draft Governor Stegg's nine billion general fund budget. The unanimous decision dismissed House Minority Leader Butera's Right to Know Act claim. FAA probes fatal plane crash near CHSRLEROT Pennsylvania

A UPI report states the FAA opened an investigation after a light plane crashed about 10 miles north of CHSRLEROT in Westmoreland County killing Edward Settles of Wilkinsburg and injuring passenger A Austgen of Pittsburgh. The aircraft struck a West Penn Power high tension line while en route from Allegheny County Airport to Three Rivers airport.
