Franklin s Department of Transportation announced bids for two federally funded pavement marking projects in six counties including Lawrence. Start about April 26 to Sept 15. Allied Striping Co. bid 98,917.30 for 3,000,000 feet of markings across 10 Lawrence County communities. Airport Markings, Inc. bid 49,780.08 for railroad crossing markings at six grade crossings.

Elliott appeals ruling to Supreme Court over Senate bid
Harrisburg Frank Elliott, a Doylestown businessman, said he will ask the state Supreme Court to reverse a lower court decision that disqualified him from the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination.
