Jerry Spalding 52 of Altoona collapsed while refereeing a high school playoff basketball game in Hershey Pennsylvania after stopping the Panther Valley Oxford contest in the second period. Welfare workers union leader eyes return after talks
Pittsburgh United Press International reports Allegheny County welfare workers strike leader Lawrence Collura said a return to work could start next Tuesday if a settlement is reached. He will meet state officials March 24 after arranging the talks with William J. Hart of United Steelworkers District 19.
