Neshannock High boys and Ellwood City girls won first round games in the PIAA playoffs and will play again Wednesday in the second round. The Hershey venue is hundreds of miles away as both Lawrence County teams push toward another win.

Milwau kee AP reports Doc Severinsen will be principal pops conductor for the Milwaukee Symphony starting next season. He will conduct and trumpet on three programs in nine concerts. Severinsen, 67, also serves as principal pops conductor for Phoenix, Minnesota, and Buffalo orchestras.
