A two car crash on Moody and Wilmington left Theresa Perratt injured, and two more accidents occurred on Mahoning and Moravia with minor injuries.

Police raid five Pittsburgh theaters target obscene film
Pittsburgh police and county detectives raided five local theaters this weekend to halt the showing of The Female. Four theater managers were arrested while a fifth was not charged after agreeing not to screen the film. The venues named include the Colonial Drive-In Strand Theater Northside Drive-In and Greater Pittsburgh Drive-In. The Starlite Drive-In manager also agreed not to show the movie.

Medical experts to testify in thalidomide damage suit
A civil suit filed in U.S. District Court by Mr and Mrs Thomas Dixon Diamond of Rydal seeks damages from Richardson Merrell Co of Cincinnati for their 7 year old son Thomas born with limb defects. Experts from the US Europe and Canada testify that thalidomide exposure caused the birth defects. The couple allege the drug was given to Mrs Diamond in early pregnancy for a sedative. The first deposition read was from Dr Raymond Pogge a former firm researcher who said the drug was tested on a human fetus. The couple have a normal second child.

Donald McClarren, a Pueblo crewman from Johnstown Pennsylvania, married Dileen Salas of San Diego in Las Vegas after meeting at a party soon after the spy ship’s crew was freed in December. Two Separate Auto Mishaps Leave Injuries Across County
An 80 year old Shenango Township man sustained a fractured elbow and other injuries when his car collided with a Flescher vehicle on Pa. 65. Krebs was treated and released from St. Francis Hospital. A second crash on Pa. 168 injured Lester Dicks, with Stanley Walczak’s vehicle veering into Dicks. Both were treated and released. A third incident on old Rt. 422 in Mahoning Township involved Joseph Pagley hitting a utility pole, causing a brush fire sparked by a downed power line. Damage estimates ranged from 1,400 to 3,500 dollars.
