In Sacramento California UPI a federal judge ruled that evidence seized during Patricia Hearst arrest can be used in Steven Soliah bank robbery trial. Judge Philip Wilkins delayed the trial start to Wednesday to review a 29 page defense questionnaire to jurors. The trial is expected to last two or three weeks. The ruling also found that an FBI agent and a San Francisco tax agent acted properly in arresting Hearst and Wendy Yoshimuraof the Symbionese Liberation Army.
New Jersey bus strike by Hus Unvers clerks and mechanics against Transport of New Jersey forces nearly half a million commuters to seek other transport. Four thousand employees voted 2910 to 708 to reject a two year 12 percent wage hike, walking off at 2 04 am EST as their contract expired in March. TAA serves 65 percent of intrastate riders, 80 percent to New York City and 48 percent on trips New York Philadelphia.

The Wilmington Area School Board may sue the trucking firm behind the Pulaski Bridge closure on January 6. Solicitor Thomas Mansell was instructed to take necessary action to recover about 10000 dollars spent on detouring buses, exploring negligence and the doctrine of unforeseeability. The board believes the driver’s permit violation and truck company negligence caused extra district costs.
