Ellwood City Fire Destroys Two Buildings injuring two firemen
A Saturday night blaze heavily damaged a one story toy store building and an adjacent laundromat building at North Street and Todd Avenue Ellwood City. Fire Chief Charles West and Fireman Michael Kraynak were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Damages cited at about 100000 with contents including 83 toy cartons and clothing from two sisters. The cause remained undetermined as 30 volunteers fought the fire with five units.
