Members of the play He's My Pal attended a dinner at Mahoning Methodist Church Thursday evening. The 12 cast members sat with green and white decorations and shamrock name cards showing each character. Miss Jane Young, director, received a gift for her work.
Members of the McCay Bible class met at Mahoning Methodist Church on Thursday evening for their regular monthly session. The president led the business portion, followed by a lunch served by hostesses Mrs. William Weitz and Mrs. Harriet Steen.
Members of the Berean Class of Mahoning Christian church met Thursday evening at Mrs. C. J. Bernhart’s Liberty street home for their regular monthly gathering. After a brief business session led by the president a lunch was served by hostesses Mrs. Ada Robinson and Mrs. Carl Houk.
St Margaret’s Church at Second and Clayton streets lists Masses on Sunday at 8 30 and 10 30 in the morning with Christian Doctrine class at 1 30 p m led by Rev Fr A P Scholz.
The Misses Calvanese of Lafayette Street hosted a surprise party at their home for Miss Rose De Gennaro. Guests enjoyed cards and dancing into the night.
Guests were ushered into the dining room where covers were laid for twelve. A delicious lunch was served. The table was decorated in spring flowers. Miss De Gennaro was showered with many beautiful gifts.
Corner of East Cherry and North Cedar streets hosts Rev. D. C. Schnebly with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. led by Arthur Walker. Morning worship at 11 a.m. sermon "How Much Owest Thou Unto The Lord?" Junior Endeavor at 2:30 p.m. Senior Endeavor and Intermediate at 7 p.m. Evening service at 7:45 p.m. sermon "The Talents."
Members of the S. C. Club met Miss Jane Martin on Madison Avenue for a business session followed by games. A hostess served lunch, and the next gathering is slated at Miss Grace King’s home on Lafayette Street.
Corner of North Cedar street and East Madison avenue hosts Sunday school at 9 45 in charge of Q E Davy superintendent. Morning service at 11 with a sermon by Rev Thomas Francis. Senior League at 645 p m. Evening services at 745 with Rev Francis leading.
Rev F Y Ippolite presides at St Lucy’s Church on East Wabash Avenue with Masses at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday school gathers at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
The Queen Esthers of Mahoning Methodist church hold their monthly meeting tonight at Miss Jean King’s Lafay ette street home.
Gospel Mission on Cherry Street holds a preaching service at 2:30 led by Mrs. H. J. Sutton in charge.
Rev. W. W. Sniff pastor of Madison Avenue Christian Church will deliver the morning sermon Sunday titled The Shadow of the Cross. The note cites the regular church schedule and pastoral leadership.

Howard Beith of North Beaver and B H Galbraith of Orchard street are homebound by illness. Mrs Chester Johnson on Madison avenue is ill at home. Mae Dixon of Mahoning township visited this ward recently. Mrs DeRemer returned from Cumberland Maryland. Mrs Latimer came home from hospital after illness. Mrs Shaw and her two daughters visited in Youngstown.

Sheriff records show twenty one executions on properties to be sold at sheriff sale in April, seven fewer than at the opening of March term. Also noted are new Notary Public commissions for W. P. Travers and William B. Park, pending bond filings, and several expiring commissions.
Charles Oakes called in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Stanley M Simpson visited Mercer on Saturday. Mr and Mrs Herbert Patterson of New Castle spent Sunday with Mrs Thomas Burk. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Carmen Sicilian at Mercer Cottage Hospital on February 28. Blanche Oakes returned to Erie after visiting her parents Mr and Mrs Dave Oakes. Mary Serwatka spent Monday with her brother Mr and Mrs Stephen Serwatka in New Castle. Tony Vecchio and family of New Castle were weekend guests of Dan Vecchio. Cash C Bingham and daughters Mabel and Alice were weekend guests of Frances Rhodes in Grove City. Andrew Hardisky and son Bobby of Ellwood City were Sunday guests of Mr and Mrs Steve Serwatka. There will be a regular meeting of the Spanish War Camp at the Legion Home on Monday evening, March 11, at 7 30. Hon Charles B Mayne mayor of New Castle will be the speaker. The Northwestern Vicinity Council of the United Spanish War Veterans will meet at Meadville Sunday March 10 at 2 p m. There will be a card and bingo party sponsored by the Spanish War Camp and its auxiliary at the Legion Home Wednesday evening March 13.
