Saigon police foil assassination bid on Prime Minister Huong

Forgery suspect escapes during processing on city charges
East Side man Sam Nail, 26, fled from city police yesterday while being processed in Alderman Howard B. Hanna's office on charges of receiving stolen goods and forgery tied to the February theft of 200 checks from Paul's Auto Service. Bond was set at 3000 dollars cash or 6000 property. Nail, not handcuffed, escaped before a bondsman arrived.
